At Open Cast CIC Ltd we’ve been supporting Doncaster’s young people into brighter futures for the last 20 years.
Taste Community Central is part of Open Cast and is our innovative response to the need for support for local young people who experience social and economic disadvantage.
As a Community Interest Company we are a Social Enterprise designed to offer opportunities for young people to build a better future for themselves. We provide a safe and professional environment where young people can learn and grow.
We use Community Central bakery as a tool to guide young people on their journey into employability and employment; equipping them with qualifications and transferrable skills for the workplace.
We offer courses and work experience within our bakery, to help young people to build their career. By investing in young people through training, workplace experience and community engagement we aim to empower them to reach their potential.
